Potato Gratin with Gruyere and Fontina Cheese

My sister recently went on a trip to Montana to visit her future mother in-law on her farm. She was sent back to Minnesota will all sorts of wonderful vegetables including these purple and yukon potatoes. I wasn’t sure what I would make when she brought me a bag of them, but I was excited to have them. I did a bit of searching and came across a plethora of purple potato dishes, but none of them really appealed to me.
